The Brodseam system is based on metal trays formed in the factory, or on site, which are fully supported by the deck to which they are attached. The characteristics of the various metals determine the width and maximum lengths of trays used.

Attachment to the deck is made with fixed or sliding cleats which are mechanically folded into the standing seams or batten roll caps. Sliding cleats allow for thermal movement in the length of the trays.

Appearance
Brodseam utilises long trays joined with standing seams or batten rolls. Where roof slopes exceed the recommended maximum tray length, feature 'step-joints' are normally incorporated in the roof design. Spacing of the battens or seams will depend on the choice of metal and the wind exposure.
